  • Pacquiao Shuts Down Conspiracy Theory On Spence

"Short minded" is what Manny Pacquiao had to say about conspiracy theorists wagering that Errol Spence had faked his eye injury to avoid facing Pacman in their upcoming bout. Spence was in a car crash two years ago, Freddie Roach has suggested that Spence isn't the same fighter as he was before. Which has fueled many of the conspiracies around the fight cancellation. Mostly Manny is shutting down his own fans going after Spence. Pacman had this to say - “It's hard. If they were in the situation of Spence, they would understand and realize and understand about the situation. Of course Errol Spence would not do that. To train hard and don’t want to fight. A fighter is a fighter. Nobody is going to cancel a fight they've been training months for. I feel a little disappointed because I've been working hard and focusing on this training camp. I did a lot of discipline, doing my best, but it's a good thing they told me the fights not cancelled, just a substation. There's Ugas." Ugas took Pacman's belt from his inactivity. So we can all rest assured that Pacman still really wants this fight. What do you think fight fans? Is Manny right, do we cut Spence some slack? Will he perform as well or better against Ugas?

  • Jorge Masvidal Prediction for Paul V Woodley

Jorge Masvidal is a seasoned MMA fighter. The dude has competed in Bellator, Strikeforce, and other promotions while he is currently under the UFC. At 35-15-0 the guy stands somewhere to make fight predictions. At least more so than your cousin who tries to coach fights from his couch while eating chips. Jorge was on The MMA Hour, and said - “Woodley can throw them hands. Ben Askren never could. So it's like you've got a guy that can fight if it's slingin' fists. Woodley could have made his money grappling, which he did. He was good enough of an athlete, and he was good enough of an athlete to make his money with his hands to knock people the f*** out. So I don’t think... I know Jake's never been in there with a guy like that, that's explosive, is a good athlete, and has a ton of experience over him. So if Jake wins, f***ing wild, my hat's off to him, I was wrong, I don't know s*** about fighting, but chances are - Woodley’s going to knock him the f*** out.” Jake Paul is a 3-0 boxer who got his start making videos on the Vines app and then Youtube. He's come under lot's of scrutiny for not challenging fighters on his level, although Tyron Woodley is a good bit smaller than Jake Paul and a good bit older. This matchup may shut down people's criticism for Jake as Tyron is a beast with a 19-7-1 MMA record. What do you think fight fans? Who is going to win?

  • 65 Reasons Why Butterbean Is Dat Boi

65 wins via knockout! Butterbean has a total fight record of 97-24-5. That's a 76% win rate among professional Boxing and MMA that spanned almost 20 years. My favorite thing about butterbean is how he would get mad and tell people to hit him and then just stonefaced walk forward into their punches and then slobberknock them with hooks once they were committed. If corn-fed country boy had a place in the dictionary, you'd see Butterbean somewhere in there as a reference. The dude didn't have an easy home life and as a young adult got involved in tough man competitions and eventually combat sports. His total record including street fights is unknown. Holy crap, imagine pissing off a haybale totin' hoss in his prime out there mad sweating at the job site. You know Butterbean's gotta have some stories like this. Butterbean was the dude who regardless of whether you won or lost against him, fighting the man sucked. You could tell for all his opponents, fighting butterbean was it's own kind of hell. The man has since relinquished combat sports athletes from his wrath around the mid 2010's doing various bouts until 2014. Since leaving the combat sports scene he's made lot's of media appearances and now freelances, semi-retired probably daily laughs about all the people he's knocked out.

  • Mentor Of The Week - Genghis Khan

If you didn't know how badass the Mongolians were, well you're about to. These dudes had pet eagles they would hunt with and the country still practices eagle hunting as a cultural tradition today. They rode horses without saddles, and even shot archery from horseback. The Mongol empire had become the largest of it's time in the Asian continent. Genghis Khan's name may be synonymous with tyrants and warlords but few people actually know his true history. He came to power by uniting various nomadic tribes and eventually conquered most of Asia. Many accounts claim that Khan was a ruthless warlord responsible for the deaths of millions in his conquest. The Buddhist historical writings describe him as a liberator who brought together various groups. So the real man behind the name is contested but what can't be argued is the facts. Largest Asian empire of it's time. Creator of the Mongol Empire, which lead to China needing to build the Great Wall just to keep them out. Genghis Khan may have conquered through total war and he may have conquered through diplomacy. Chances are with a empire that big, he did both from time to time. One thing that is fact that's survived through the years about Khan. He was religiously tolerant, allowed his kingdom to worship whatever gods they wanted, and himself liked to learn other religions ? cultures life philosophies. He was a student and curator of life, more than just a bloodthirsty warlord with countless wives. Genghis Khan was likely somewhat of a renaissance man to achieve what he did. Facts and fiction aside, you can find a mentor in him as you're trying to conquest anything. Handle it appropriately, be civil and grow your life but also get down right savage when you have to.

Yana Kunitskaya has come under scrutiny from some of the MMA community recently. She announced her upcoming baby to the world and as would any parent, hoped for congratulations and maybe a light hearted joke or two. Yana was met with heavy criticism and even questions as to whether or not she was pregnant competing at UFC 264. Yana said - "Just to make clear, I didn't fought pregnant!""All you who keep txting me, mind your business!" I think it would be in everyone best interest to mind your business. Last thing you want is an MMA fighter momma bear in your face. Questioning why you're in her business. We're here for you Yana. Have that baby, take all the recovery time you need. Get back to whooping butt! What kind of MMA fighter names could she give her baby? Aries would be a cool one and fitting for any child born from fighter parents. • Nick Diaz Once Fought Two Heavyweight Dudes From His Bicycle

Nick Diaz talks about fighting two 240 pound plus dudes while riding his bicycle. He was cruising through an urban area, enjoying his cyclist hobby, getting some cardio in when a car started honking at him. Nick gets off his bike and two dudes jump out and onto him. Nicks account is they all started grappling when Nick fell because of his biking shoes. He managed to get one of them in a leg lock. They all kept going at it but the other dudes got gassed pretty quick. Nick says "alright, it's over, alright." as he got up and proceeded to start beating the crap out of one of them. The other guy started stabbing Nick with a pen. So Nick pleads with them that he's all done. Very quickly, they all get up. The two dudes grab their stuff and Nicks phone to then leave. Nick wound up having to call them and apologize to get his phone back. Funny story, be sure to go watch the video on Youtube of Nick talking about it.

  • Grandson Of Muhammad Ali Wins Boxing Debut Via TKO

Muhammad Ali's Grandson is named Nico Ali Walsh, son of Rasheda Ali Walsh. The man just lived up to his family legacy by getting a 90 second knockout in his boxing debut! The world watches in awe as we get to see the rise of another boxing GOAT. His debut fight ended in stoppage as his opponent seemed unable to defend the fury of punches after being knocked down. Ref called the fight before the first 2 minute mark. Nico definitely has the power and speed possessed by his grandpa! Nico wore shorts in that fight that were gifted to him by his grandpa himself. When asked he said "It seems like a lot of pressure, but to me, he's just my grandfather. To the crowd he is the greatest fighter who ever lived and maybe the greatest person. To me, he's the greatest grandfather!"

  • Kalyl Silva Wins His First Fight Via 8 Second KO

Kalyl Silva is the son of none other than Anderson "the spider" Silva. The man who is arguably the best fighter in the history of MMA. Kalyl had his debut kickboxing match and absolutely lived up to the standards his father set in the ring. Fiver seconds into the opening round and one front kick from Silva, the ref called the fight in eight seconds. Kalyl has an older brother, Gabriel Silva who was sapposed to fight on the same card as Kalyl but the bout was pulled from the card for reasons not disclosed, we can only hope both Gabriel and his opposing fighter are in good health. Gabriel will definietly be fighting again soon. Anderson Silva has an upcoming boxing match with Tito Ortiz on Sept 11th. The spider is riding a recent boxing win on Julio Chavez Jr. We can except this upcoming bout to be explosive as 2 MMA legends go at it in their fight. Ortiz is already hashing out the smack talk saying he lost all respect for Silva, since Ortiz has to meet weight at 195.

  • Big John McCarthy Tackles Dana White

Big John McCarthy is one of MMA's most loved referees and iconic within the sport itself. An all around good dude he travels around the country speaking at schools about anti-bullying campaigns and encourages kids to find positive outlets in life like sports or hobbies. A BJJ blackbelt himself, the guy knows everything about combat sports and has a good sense of direction in life. Big John has been calling out how the industry treats fighters for some time now and especially critical of Dana White as recently stating on the Weighing In podcast - "Dana needs to bow down to Vince because he stole everything from Vince. He stole his persona, he stole exactly how he runs his company, all of that." In the context of Dana saying he couldn't have scripted a better UFC fight than McMahan's WWE for an upcoming bout. I think this is where all of Johns concern boils down. The treatment of fighters and where Dana stands as the face of the worlds largest MMA promotion. If the UFC fighters were treated better in terms of compensation, insurance, etc. I don't think McCarthy would be as critical as he is of Dana White. McCarthy Recently retweeted some stats on fighter pay and it's not so good compared to other sports. UFC fighters make about 16% of revenue from their promotion where as MLB Baseball players make 54%, NBA basketball players make 50%, NFL players make 46%, Bellator fighters make 44%. Why does the largest human gladiator proportion of sports promoter, pay their fighters the least % of revenue? I agree with John McCarthy's criticism on Dana White. Hell, I even agree with Jake Paul on something. Dana White may not own the UFC anymore and have the hand to change the company he founded. If he doesn't do something soon though, I think the rest of the world may soon realize we can stream better fights with company's Like Bellator or Fight.TV!
